The Artificial Intelligence and Education (AI-ED) is an ever-growing research area. It uses artificial intelligence tools and techniques to provide
the foundations for intelligent tutoring and learning systems. The main research objective consists of using computer based technology to examine
processes of cognition, decision-making and problem-solving, and thus supports innovative teaching and learning systems.
For this book, we seek original contributions on any aspect related to educational intelligence and smart machines for education.
Experience and applications of artificial intelligence to real-world educational system are also welcome. The topics of interest include,
but are not limited to:

The time schedule for this publication is as follows:
- Manuscript submission: January 13th., 2006
- Authors Notification: April 10th., 2006 (Delayed for May 5th., 2006)
- Camera-ready submission: June 5th., 2006
