The publication of Book in Series on Intelligent System Engineering has a main objective that consists of gathering, in hardcover indexed volumes, many important, interesting and co-related yet scattered contributions. We plan to include peerly-reviewed and high quality contributed papers, invited overview papers as well as selected best papers from international conferences, symposia and workshops on intelligent system engineering methodologies and applications. We intend to call for contributions, on different topics, three times a year. The call for papers will be done for issues that are of special interest to the readers as well as to the editors. In the first stage, we hope to publish books devoted to the following main non particularly ordered topics, which we think are at the very foundations of any engineering methodology or application of intelligent systems:

  • Neural Networks;
  • Genetic Algorithms;
  • Fuzzy Logic;
  • Expert Systems;
  • Data Mining;
  • Classifier Systems;
  • Robotics;
  • Agent-Based Reasoning
