Call for Chapters

Intelligent robots have become the focus of intensive research in last years. The field of intelligent mobile robotics involves simulations and real-world implementations of robots which adapt to their partially unknown, unpredictable and sometimes dynamic environments. The design and control of autonomous such robotic systems includes many objective difficulties such as perception of environment, localization, walking, planning and navigation in rough terrain, pushing boxes, negotiating an obstacle course, playing ball, etc.

For this book, we seek original contributions on aspects related to evolutionary mobile robotics. The topics of interest include, but not limited to:

  • Evolutionary path planning strategies
  • Evolutionary Control systems
  • Distributed robot search teams
  • Self-exploration
  • Cooperative transport
  • Real-World Experiences
The time schedule for this publication is as follows:
  1. Manuscript submission: March 31st., 2006
  2. Authors Notification: July 28th., 2006
  3. Camera-ready submission: September 15th., 2006 (author kit)
If you intend to contribute to this book, please send an e-mail to the editor informing the title of the chapter and its abstract.
