Multi-Objective Swarm Intelligent Systems |
Call for Chapters
Nadia Nedjah, Leandro dos Santos Coelho, Luiza de Macedo Mourelle (Eds.)
Real-world engineering problems often require concurrent optimisation of several design objectives, which are
conflicting in most of the cases. Such an optimisation is generally called multiobjective or multicriterion optimisation (MOO).
On the other hand, swarm intelligence (SWI) is an innovative computational way to solving hard problems. This discipline is mostly inspired by the
behaviour of ant colonies, bird flocks and fish schools and other biological creatures. In general, this is done by mimicking the
behaviour of these swarms.
For this book, we seek original contributions on any aspect related to swarm intelligence approaches with multi-objective optimisation. Applications of multi-objective optimization using swarm intelligence to real-world systems are welcome. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- MOO/SWI-based fuzzy system design
- MOO/SWI-based system engineering
- MOO/SWI-based data mining
- MOO/SWI-based operational research methods
- MOO/SWI-based robotics
|
- MOO/SWI-based neural network design
- MOO/SWI-based control systems
- Continuous MOO/SWI-based nonlinear identification and modeling
- Other applications of MOO/SWI
